Renewed appeal for information following shooting in Smith's Wood

We are renewing our appeal for information after shots were fired in Smith's Wood last week.

Officers from our Major Crimes Team are continuing their investigation after two people were seriously injured in Vauxhall Crescent last week (15 June).

Since the incident on 15 June officers have been gathering CCTV and witness statements as they investigate the exact circumstances around what happened.

At this stage, it is believed this was a targeted attack and any members of the community who have concerns are encouraged to tell us by speaking with our officers, who are continuing their patrols in the area.

We are continuing to work with local authority partners and community organisations to offer reassurance to the public.
